Recipes: Pizza Dip & Crackers
Pizza Dip
1 lbs Ground beef
8 oz cream cheese, softened
2 cups shredded cheese
1 cup pizza sauce
pizza seasoning, salt, pepper (all to taste)
Brown beef, seasoning with salt and pepper pour on the bottom of 2 quart baking dish.
Layer cream cheese, cheese and pizza sauce on ground beef. Season with pizza seasoning.
Bake at 350; for 30 min or until heated through. Stir and let cool a bit then serve with crackers.
Crackers
1 cup white whole wheat flour
1 cup sourdough starter, unfed or refrigerated
4 tablespoons bacon grease, divided
1 tablespoon milk
3/4 teaspoon salt
Reserve 1 tablespoon bacon fat. In mixer bowl, combine remaining ingredients.
You should have a smooth, soft dough. Place dough in a Ziploc bag and ferment for 7 hours.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Roll dough very thin, less than 1/8 inch. Cut in squares with a pizza
cutter. Prick with a fork. Brush very lightly with bacon grease. Sprinkle with salt. Bake for 12-14 minutes.
